"I am like an EMT for the animals…”
A life-long passion for animals
Missy has been an animal lover all her life. She volunteers for many local and international organizations, traveling the world on various rescue missions. She’s been interviewed by Conan O’Brien, rescued baby ospreys, swans, and hawks; saved dogs and cats trapped by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Katrina, and went undercover to film dolphin abuse in Japan. “I am like an EMT for the animals,” said Missy. She is always ready to jump into action whenever there’s an animal in need.

Swan Rescue In Watermill
Everyone got quite excited at the Margolis residence in Watermill when a Cygnet (baby Swan) somehow got itself caught under a floating dock on Mecox Bay. Rescuer Missy Hargraves responded and did not hesitate to jump in the bay to try and help the little swan. When she could not loosen the baby by reaching under the dock, they had to come up with another plan.
